News release January 2018

Dear Customers,

Happy New Year!

2017 was a busy year for us as we expanded and acquired a new building in Feldkirchen. If we stick to schedule we should have moved in by the end of 2018. Since moving into Feldkirchen in 2011 we have more than doubled our staff which is a positive reflection on the business of the company. The extension of our new building will allow more jobs to be created and for growth of the company to continue!

Growth has also continued in the USA where we have opened our second sales office in Silicon Valley which will enable us to serve both our customers and distributors in the Western States more efficiently and at a faster pace.

Read on to find out more about the exciting products we have released for your motor needs this year.

High-Performance, Brushless DC Motor

With the release of our DB56, Nanotec now offers customers a brushless DC motor in the NEMA 23 size (56mm). The eight pole internal rotor motor with integrated hall sensors has a rated power of 94 W in size S, 141 W in size M, and 188 W in size L. The DB56’s flange is the same size as Nanotec’s DB59 however it is equipped with bonded magnets unlike the sintered magnets. Also, this motor has a flat output shaft, making this product ideal for applications requiring non-slip power.

Compact External Rotor Motor

With the DF32, Nanotec now offer a flat and very compressed external rotor motor. The eight-pole brushless DC motor, with a diameter of 32 mm and a height of 18mm, has a rated power of 7.4 W in addition to the standard winding for 24 V with a top speed of 2760 rpm, customer bespoke windings are also possible for series applications. The rotor position feedback is provided by hall sensors.

Using a flat ribbon cable, the DF32 can be quickly and easily coupled to a control board in series with a matching ZIF socket strip. Nanotec now also offer an additional adapter board with regular strands for test purposes.

The DF32 is appropriate for a wide range of applicants and is a cost-effective solution, especially for sizable series. It particularly stands out due to its high-power mass compared to other external rotor motors.
